Well I have finally given up on trying to maintain anything like a useful web site and so have redecorated once more to end up with this.

HARD CODED IN HTML USING HOMESITE 1.2

The Fixxxer has moved to http://www.planethalflife.com/fixxxer/. Thankyou for visiting!

Welcome to 'The Fixxxer', you'll find that this site has two purposes - the first is to promote, display and generally give you info about my Mod for Half-Life - MultiPlay, the second is to provide a different style of coding tutorial to those found on WaveLength. My site aims to give you a gentle introduction to coding in Half-Life using a more general viewpoint whilst (I think) Wavelength gives you more specific tutorials. Either way I suggest you look at both my site and Wavelength. Just use the links on the left to browse to what you are looking for!

Site News
9th May 1999 For those of you who haven't noticed 'The Fixxxer' has moved to Planet Half-Life. As of today this site is no longer active! Goto The Fixxxer for the latest news. Fade
7th May 1999 The weapons tutorial has got so long that it is now in three parts! You will be glad to hear the part one is now available in the coding section! Part two will cover each of the weapons themselves and Part three will cover adding a new weapon to the game. BTW, I accidently overwrote the egon tutorial (it wasn't long) so you'll have to wait a little longer. Fade
5th May 1999 The weapons tutorial is coming along nicely now, the first part (of two) may be up at the weekend, then again maybe not....Also has anyone worked out how the player move speeds work? Snicker would like to know!

BTW: For those of you e-mailing me, Arma has nothing to do with Half-Life, but is here because I wanted to post info about it somewhere. Fade

4th May 1999 Sorry, the tutorials I mentioned yesterday were actually uploaded today. Expect the Egon tutorial in the next couple of days and then a long wait for the weapons tutorial. I know how to do most of it but the volume of data I want to get in means It's gonna take some time (it may even become two tutorials!) Fade
3rd May 1999 Hey, I just checked my Mail and wanted to say thanks to those of you who have e-mailed me to tell me that the tutorials I've written have been useful. To those who have asked there isn't (to my knowledge) any documentation on the game DLL (although there is a little on the client DLL).

My sites been hosted, announced and everything, and, as promised the Messaging tutorial is now up in the coding section. Whilst I'll try to update as often as I can, please be aware that my A-Level exams are imminant, and that tutorials do take time to write. Anyway, give me some motivation - send me some mail! Fade

2nd May 1999 I've now messed around with the layout to suit the new emphasis of the site, I've also started the new tutorial, but these things take time to write, y' know!

Okay, I've got Hosted today on Planet Half-Life...But your not going to see this message because I need to re-arrange the site first Fade

1st May 1999 There are three new coding tutorials up today in the coding section under Half-Life! A quick note here, I'm english so any times I post will be in GMT and dates will be DD/MM/YYYY (to avoid the Millenium bug!). Fade
27th April 1999 Cool, looks like my site is gonna get hosted by Planet Half-Life. Due to this you'll notice the addition of loads more Half-Life info in the near future. With any luck by the time you read this I'll have added the first few Half-Life coding tutorials, including an introduction to the C++ language used in the game DLL's.
23rd April 1999 This is my first 'update' to the site. Wow! it's only 2 days after the initial upload! I've now added info on my MultiPlay mod to the Half-Life section
21st April 1999 Damn, couldn't get connected yesterday, so the site hasn't been upload yet. Hopefully later tonight I'll upload it.
20th April 1999 The Arma Page is ready now, I'm hoping to go live with the new site now! New sections on Half-Life and other stuff will be on their way soon!
4th April 1999 Once again I'm working on it! I'm adding a bit of JavaScript to the page, but never fear standard HTML should also be supported!
28th March 1999 Here I am again, I've finally found some time to do some more on my site. See anything on the site that interests you? Any questions/queries/comments - mail me!
18th Febuary 1999 It has been a long long time since I last updated this site, you wouldn't believe how difficult it is to find the time to do anything! Anyway, having thought through what I'm going to actually put on my site this time I've decided to put up the one persistant thing so far - Arma. So go ahead and check out the Arma section using the navigation bar on the left!
